| | Internet Part I is a six-session course covering basic e-mail functions
plus attachments. Students will learn to do searches using Google and
other search engines. Other topics include addressing Web pages, using
instant messenger and shopping/purchasing online. The class will use
Microsoft Internet Explorer and also will discuss SBC/Yahoo, AOL and
other browsers. Recommended prerequisite: Windows XP. |

mailing lists, ten techniques for writing genealogical queries that get
results, Google Alerts and search book collections for digital images
that will assist them in their genealogical research. Students will
learn to view, navigate, extract, print and save information in online

| | Computer Literacy is designed for the novice who has little or no
experience with computers. In this six-session course you will practice
using the mouse, learn about the components of the computer, including
the keyboard and perform rudimentary tasks. After completing this
course, you will be ready to enroll in Introduction to
Computers/Windows XP or Windows Vista. |
