Brookhaven College  Fall 2016 Credit - Learning Communities

Learning Communities are programs in which a group of students enrolls in two or more courses organized around a common theme, project or problem. The purpose of learning communities is to create a more integrated experience, to provide greater coherence in the curriculum and to increase collaboration of students and faculty in the pursuit of learning.

 This is an interdisciplinary Learning Community of Government and History. Students who register for GOVT 2305-21006 must also register for HIST 1302-21003. This course meets MW from 10:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m., offering a total of 6 hours of core curriculum credit. The integration of courses offers students several benefits such as less expensive texts, unified assignments and the expertise of two instructors. Students interested in debating, discussing and analyzing issues are encouraged to enroll in this unique program.
