 This class looks at the humanities and social sciences of Africa through an in-depth look at four African regions (East, West, Central & South). It will explore major historical trends and the impact on culture. We will look at early African civilizations, the slave-trade, colonialism, post colonialism and current international influence. Content or literature will be drawn from books of African works and research from an African works and research from an African standpoint (both written literature and oral traditions).
