 Service Learning combines community service and one hour of academic credit that can be transferred to a public Texas college/university. Service Learning can be used to explore your chosen career field or to explore a new area of interest all while providing service to your community. The student selects an approved agency, attends orientation, volunteers for 20 hours,attends one on-campus meeting and submits written reports.Hospitals require 40 hours. Students MUST contact Oscar Santos in S2086 or email him at osantos@dcccd.edu. Once enrolled in SPCH 2144 students must complete the MVC Online Service Learning Application.
