 A study of the effects of political, historical, social, cultural and media influences on our own behavior and our perception of others. Focusing on four specific groups (American Indians, Hispanic/Latino Americans, African Americans, and Asian Americans), we will place special emphasis on issues of race, ethnicity, community building, and peace. This class will use a variety of multi-sensory platforms such as videos, music, cultural informants, games, foods, and much more. Throughout the course we will model community by learning collaboratively with lots of group activities.
