Eastfield College  Spring 2016 Credit - Learning Communities

Learning Communities are programs in which a group of students enrolls in two or more courses organized around a common theme, project or problem. The purpose of learning communities is to create a more integrated experience, to provide greater coherence in the curriculum and to increase collaboration of students and faculty in the pursuit of learning.

Must register for MATH 1332.41808 unless already taken this or another math course with a C or better. In order to stay in the Automotive General Program students must stay in enrolled in MATH for duration of the semester. HIST 1302-43801 is an emphasis on civil rights class. This class will examine U.S civil rights history through the lens of various groups. We will use film to analyze 5 separate civil rights movements: African Americans, Mexican Americans, American Indians, Japanese Americans, as well as a look at the role of gender via the feminist and LGBT movements.
