ACNT 1372 Foundations of Accounting and Operations Disclosure is not an upper division accounting course as defined by the TSBPA. ACNT 1372 is a bridge course for students who are just beginning studies in accounting. ACNT 1372 is a Pre-Intermediate Accounting Course that utilizes the same textbook for ACNT 1373 and ACNT 1374. ACNT 1372 is required for all students unless the student has completed ACNT 1373 or at a minimum an Intermediate Accounting I course at an approved community college, four-year college and/or graduate college that is approved by the TSBPA. The completion of ACCT 2301 and/or ACCT 2302 does not meet the requirements for one to be exempt or be waived from ACNT 1372. New students must schedule and appointment with your advisor via Julius Wilson by sending him an email to wilsonj@dcccd.edu. Continuing students who are currently enrolled must request approval from your advisor - students with last names starting with the letter 'A' to 'M' must send an email to Professor Michael Joseph Tydlaska at mjtydlaska@dcccd.edu and students with last names starting with the letter 'N' to 'Z' must send an email to Professor Cencelia Pierre at cpierre@dcccd.edu. The email must include your full legal name, DCCCD student identification number, a valid telephone number and the course(s) you desire. Students are permitted a maximum of seven semester hours of upper division accounting courses per semester excluding business related courses. Prerequisites: Admission to the CPA Starter Program.
