| This is a two-course Honors Learning Community that meets TR
from 11:00 a.m. - 1:50 p.m. Students will earn six credit hours.
The courses focus on a 'vanished' African American community,
Little Egypt, that existed in the NE Dallas area, before it
disappeared, in the 1960s. Students will be involved in archival
research, cartography, and potentially some oral histories
and/or genealogical research with descendants of those who lived
there and moved away. Note: This section is an Honors course,

from 11:00 a.m. - 1:50 p.m.. Students will receive six credits.
The courses focus on a 'vanished' African American community,
Little Egypt, that existed in the NE Dallas area, before it
disappeared, in the 1960s. Students will be involved in archival
research, cartography, and potentially some oral histories
and/or genealogical research with descendants of those who lived
there and moved away. Note: This section is an Honors course,
