 BIOL 1406 provides the basis for all higher- level biology courses and is intended for science majors or students planning to transfer to a discipline within a College of Arts & Sciences. North Lake College's biology department does not require students to be TSI-met in math to register for BIOL 1406. If you are not TSI-met in math and need assistance in registering for BIO 1406 see an NLC advisor. This class offers lectures completely online and hands-on laboratory exercises to be completed from home with a kit. One comprehensive lecture exam and one comprehensive laboratory practical exam will be proctored at any DCCCD Testing Center. Students are advised to buy the laboratory kit before classes start.
