 BIOL 1406 provides the basis for all higher- level biology courses and is intended for science majors or students planning to transfer to a discipline within a College of Arts & Sciences. North Lake College's biology department does not require students to be TSI-met in math to register for BIOL 1406. If you are not TSI-met in math and need assistance in registering for BIO 1406 see an NLC advisor. This class offers lectures completely online and hands-on laboratory exercises to be completed from home with a kit. One comprehensive lecture exam and one comprehensive laboratory practical exam will be proctored at any DCCCD Testing Center. Students are advised to buy the laboratory kit before classes start. Students must enroll in both courses which are conducted on campus and in Kauai. Pre-trip classes will be held from May 13-25, 2016. Trip dates are May 27-June 6, 2016. Costs include tuition, airfare, and a student fee (room, transportation, etc.) will be assessed.
