 This course will focus on evolving a personal language in painting, using watercolor, collage and a combination of water-based mediums and drawing. A range of technical and conceptual strategies will be introduced to students. The relationship between materials and technique will be emphasized, and students will be encouraged to develop their personal interests using watercolor and mixed media.

 In this 11-day intensive workshop you will have the opportunity to work with Lauren McAdams Selden, jewelry and metalsmithing professor from Stephen F. Austin and Natalie Macellaio from Brookhaven College. Professor Selden will show us how to work large scale and small scale through welding with the MIG and lost-wax investment casting. We will discuss how work transforms with scale and what the relationship is between working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

 In this 11-day intensive workshop you will have the opportunity to work with Lauren McAdams Selden, jewelry and metalsmithing professor from Stephen F. Austin and Natalie Macellaio from Brookhaven College. Professor Selden will show us how to work large scale and small scale through welding with the MIG and lost-wax investment casting. We will discuss how work transforms with scale and what the relationship is between working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
